Challenge:
The 40-year-old Lutz family home was in very poor condition with unsafe wiring, extensive water damage, mold and rotting wood everywhere. The design concept was to let all the outside in with beautiful natural light to help recreate the feeling of a brownstone neighborhood in New York City, with separate doors going to all the children’s rooms.
Solution:
Working in conjunction with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition crews, including more than 1,000 volunteers that worked 24/7 to build a new home for this deserving family, Wasco responded by generously donating a 12’-2” x 36’-11” Pinnacle 300 Double Pitch Architectural Series skylight with a 7/12 Pitch and Black Kynar finish.
The Wasco skylight is the biggest skylight ever used on an Extreme Makeover house.
“This was one of the most rewarding experiences we’ve had here at Wasco in the recent past. We hope that you share our joy when the Lutz family finally gets to see their new dream home,” said Jeff Frank, CEO of Wasco Skylights.
Sara Havard, COO of Wasco Skylights commented that “working with Extreme Makeover Home Edition was a great opportunity for us to help a family who very much deserved a new home. I hope the Lutz family enjoys the benefits of all the natural daylight that spills from our skylight into their new home every day.”
“The biggest, most extreme skylight we’ve ever used on any home!”
